UDC: 539.163.2
Section: NATURAL SCIENCES
Authors: A. I. Murzashev; E. O. Shadrin;
We researched the energetic spectrum of carbon chirality nanotubes (10,10), (11,9), (12,8) within the framework of the Hubbard model at statistical fluctuations approximation. The research showed that irrespective of their chirality they are narrow slot semiconductors with 0.1 eV band gap.

It is commonly known that forests play an extremely important role in the preservation of biosphere stability: occupying one third of land surface, they accumulate nearly 90 % of all land biomass in themselves. The preservation of forests as stabilizers of climate and biological cycle of matter and also of biological diversity bank and the source of many resources is a necessary condition for ecological security and stable economic development of the mankind.
INFLUENCE OF MULCHING AND SOIL PROCESSING ON PHYTOSANITARY CONDITION AND SPRING WHEAT PRODUCTIVITY
UDC: 633.1:632.9

Authors: N. I. Bogachuk; G. S. Maryin; O. G. Maryina-Chermnykh;
The article contains the research results on the formation of phytosanitary condition of wheat agrocoenosis and spring wheat productivity depending on mulching and soil processing. We studied micromycotae species composition, revealed the structure of the cenoses and characterized the phytotoxicological soil features of agrocoenoses under study. We discovered that the formation of mycromycota species and soil phytotoxicology of wheat agrocoenosis depend on the mulch substance quantity and its depth.
THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF LUBRICATING OIL DYNAMIC VISCOSITY CHANGES IN THE ENGINES OF TRACTORS AND LORRIES
UDC: 621.892
Section: AGROCULTURE, ENGINEERING AND INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY SCIENCES
Authors: T. Stawicki; P. Sendlak;
The operation of agricultural tractors and lorries leads to the changes in the quality of engine oils, whose intensiveness depends on the conditions and time of their use, technical condition of vehicles and maintenance culture. The research on engine oil for tractors and lorries shows that its changes being the result of its operation do not necessarily require oil change as producers recommend.
SOLAR ENERGY UTILIZATION IN POLAND AND SOME NEW DEVELOPMENTS FOR THE FUTURE USE
UDC: 620.9
Section: AGROCULTURE, ENGINEERING AND INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY SCIENCES
Authors: J. Barwicki;
According to the European Union’s requirements expressed in the Directive 2009/28/EC, by 2020 every member-state of the EU is obliged to have increased the share of renewable energy in total energy consumption. For Poland, the target was set at the level of 15 %. Nevertheless, the rate of change has not been sufficient so far, and in the oncoming years the sector will require further improvement. However, Poland, being ranked third in Europe, is one of Europe’s leaders in the production and sale of solar collectors. Photovoltaic systems are becoming the most efficient ones concerning proper utilization of solar radiation. But nanotechnology solution can replace photovoltaic ones by using a new production technology to lower the price of solar cells to one tenth. The sun provides nearly unlimited energy resource, but the existing solar energy harvesting technologies are quite expensive and cannot compete with fossil fuels. Other new developments, which can help improve the present efficiency of solar systems are: diatoms utilization, artificial photosynthesis, nanoleaves and rotation solar towers.
EFFECT OF STORAGE TEMPERATURE ON SOME PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF BRIQUETTES FROM PINE AND BEECH SAWDUST
UDC: 674.8
Section: AGROCULTURE, ENGINEERING AND INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY SCIENCES
Authors: W. Romaniuk; M. Rynkiewicz;
The paper presents an assessment of the effects of storage temperature of briquettes made from pine and beech sawdust on their density, hardness, shape errors and the occurrence of cracks. Transverse cracks were found only in the briquettes stored at 20 °C, while at temperatures 40 °C and 60 °C longitudinal cracks were also noted. Samples of briquettes from sawdust beech were also characterized by a higher density results in comparison with pine sawdust briquettes. The average density of tested samples of pine sawdust at 20 °C was 873.74 kg/m3, while of briquettes from beech sawdust — 1178.50 kg/m3. Statistical analysis did not confirm a statistically significant difference in briquettes storage temperature on their hardness and density.
