The article discusses different views on the possibility of using social network Internet sites in education. We provide a definition of the term «social network site». Analyze the experience of the use of social networking in education in our country and abroad. It is proved that the use of social networking in education would complement the educational process. Also provides ways to solve potential problems associated with the use of social network sites in the educational process.
