In this article, the lexical-semantic group of nouns with a secondary metaphorical knowledge-cheniem amount in Russian and English languages characterized in terms of the method of semantic derivation. By the method of semantic derivation studied nouns are metaphorical semantic derivatives like character, while under imagery refers to the availability of visual-sensory image, remain relevant for contemporary Russian media and modern English.
