The present article, which is for philologists doing research into Alexander Pushkin’s creative works, deals with intertextuality in his early lyrics. The intertextemes have been classified in accordance with the way of intertextual links implementation; their functions in the text have been determined. The identification and understanding of intertextual units allows broadening the semantic fields of works, revealing the author’s intentions expressed implicitly.
