The article is dedicated to the research of phonetic peculiarities of Russian dialects in the North-Eastern part of the Republic of Mari El. The material for the analysis is represented by Russian dialects in their current state. The objective of the work is to observe the main tendencies in the development of the dialects vocalic system.
