The artistic education of children is most effective in the direct perception of works of art, which is exploring the originals. That is why monumental art of the hometown is perceived by the child not only as the space around him, but as an artistic value. The article presents the results of experimental work with children in pre-school educational institutions to familiarize them with the sculpture and architecture in Yoshkar-Ola.
