The author focuses his attention on the actualization of linguistic-semiotic units in the framework of a political discourse. For the generic determination of the words connected with the status naming of those who have the supreme power the term paternaleme is introduced. A brief historic and cultural review of the development of the units in paternalistic discourse is given in the article.
