The authors consider the problems of management and planning in the agricultural-industrial sector of the economy both at the federal and regional levels and the ways of their solution developed in: the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of December 29, 2006 № 264-ФЗ «On the Development of Agriculture»; the federal and local programmes the main directions of which were determined by the Republic of Mari El Ministry of Agriculture, Food Production and Nature Management.
