The article explores the nature of feathering coloration in guinea fowls. It is shown that pigmentation degree depends on their sex. A method to increase the accuracy of sexing according to guinea fowls’ phenotype is presented in the article. The results suggest that the precision of visual sex determination is 95-96.5 %.
