Introduction. The article examines the problem of the aphorism concepts' differentiation as a genre and as a separate semantic unit capable of implementing the creative intention of a linguistic personality in creating an individual author's style. The aphoristic nature of the author's consciousness is most fully implemented in the “lyrical and philosophical miniature” genre. One of the creators of this original genre is V. V. Rozanov. It was his lyrical and philosophical prose of «Solitary» and «Fallen Leaves» that became the frame of reference that gave rise to a new literary tradition, an innovative genre form characterized by rich original imagery, paradoxical, aphoristic nature. The article examines such an important stylistic feature of the “lyrical and philosophical” miniature's genre as aphoristic nature in a comparative way: “V. V. Rozanov – V. A. Soloukhin”. The purpose of the article is to study the process of formation of one of the important stylistic features of the “lyrical and philosophical miniature” genre – the aphoristic nature of the author's consciousness at the level of comparability of the V. V. Rozanov's innovative work, which forms a literary and genre tradition, and the work of V. A. Soloukhin «Pebbles in the Palms». Materials and methods include such works as V. V. Rozanov's innovative lyrical and philosophical prose and V. A. Soloukhin's work «Pebbles in the Palms», comparable in content and linguistic features. Research results, discussions, conclusion: based on the conducted research, it was concluded that the XX‒XXI centuries' aphorism in general and V. A. Soloukhin's work in particular largely continue the genre and style tradition of V. V. Rozanov's innovative prose. Such an important stylistic feature of the author's consciousness as aphoristic nature, testifying to the high creative intention of a linguistic personality and distinguished by the original individual author's aesthetics: imagery, paradoxical nature, expression, is capable of producing both philosophical («existential») problems and pragmatic everyday («life») ones. It is «being» and «life» concepts' antithesis that becomes the linguistic basis of the lyrical and philosophical intentions of V. V. Rozanov's and V. A. Soloukhin's creative personalities.
