The problem of women’s participation in politics has become of great interest recently. It caused the appearance of the term «gender» and its combinations: «gender equality», «gender measurement», «gender asymmetry». One of the concept’s definitions is of special attention as in our opinion it gives a precise definition to the word «gender». According to sociologist A.Giddenсе, it is «not physical distinctions between men and women, but socially formed features of courage and feminity».
