Recent work investigates the texts of L. S. Petrushevskaya’s “Genuine Tales” to research how the so-called familiar reality or everyday life has been mastered in them. The writer restores to the same markers of modern times as the authorities of popular literature. In parallel with material objects L. S. Petrushevskaya includes into her tales numerous precedent-related texts, allusions to classical works, popular folklore genres and literature.
