The article deals with the analysis of a new dictionary for jargon graphics: «Regional Dictionary of Russian Substandard Vocabulary» (Yoshkar-Ola. Republic of Mari El) (M., 2009) written by A. T. Lipatov and S. A. Zhuravlev, scientists of Mari State University. The article gives its assessment related to the topical issues of Russian sociolinguistics and cultural linguistics.
