The article reflects the experience of the organization of additional joint creative project activity of students of the institutions of secondary vocational education and teachers (masters of industrial training) with the aim of improving the quality of vocational training and the successful formation of competence among future workers, employees and mid-level professionals. Experimental work on the inclusion of students and teachers in the joint design began in the Yaransk Technological College (Kirov region) in 2012. For 5 years, the effectiveness of achieving the goal was monitored and appropriate adjustments were made. The authors analyzed the works of famous Russian scientists and dissertational research over the past decade on the topic of the chosen direction. It is established that in pedagogical science and practice the problem of improving the quality of vocational education in organizations of initial vocational education and secondary vocational education was studied from different sides. Attention was paid to the systems of training specialists and their integration; content, technologies and means of teaching; method of projects; the basics of informatization of education; monitoring, auditing and evaluation of the quality of education; social partnership, etc. However, the questions of the methodology of organization and effectiveness of additional joint creative project activities of students with teachers and masters of industrial training in the institution of secondary vocational education remain unresolved. Based on the systematization of the best experience and the results of our experimental and pedagogical work, a sequence of current problems that the teacher has to solve when organizing additional joint creative design is highlighted. Namely: the problem of the selection of students and their inclusion in creative activity; the problem of determining the relevance of the expected results and the practical importance of the project; the problem of optimality of methods; the problem of maintaining and stimulating motivation at the main stage of work and the problem of summing up with the active participation of students. The article refers to the most significant success of students of the Yaransk Technological College in recent years at All-Russian competitions organized by the scientific system for young people “Integration”. As quantitative and qualitative indicators confirming the effectiveness of the pilot work, values are given by criteria based on our analytical model for assessing the quality of vocational training and diagnostics of the measurement and development of argumentative skills and qualities.
