The article is based on the literary works of N. Gogol, especially on his ethic and heroic novel «Taras Bulba». It analyzes its semantic and stylistic peculiarities. A special attention is paid to Gogol’s artistic principle – romantic realism. Due to this peculiarity concrete historic accuracy of a realistic writer is merged with high lyricism of a romantic poet. The comparative analysis of its expressive means and de-vices is based on the materials presented in literary editions of the novel «Taras Bulba» in 1835 and 1842.

The period of the Great Patriotic War became a landmark for the establishment of institutes of higher education in the republic. They developed under the pressure of evacuated establishments, but they had a swift and bright way of foundation. In the central orders and decrees of 1942 on training and professional advancing training it was written that conditions of wartime required maximal advancement of work in all the sections of establishments, particularly, in training of cadres, educating new specialists and creation of new reserves.

The paper overviews the ways of updating intake heads of fish passing constructions in accordance with the norms of environmental protection. To achieve this aim a new construction of an intake head with a countercurrent flow based on the technology of parallel hydraulic streams is used. The article provides theoretical foundations of their use to attract fish to passing constructions for fish spawning. Mathematical conditions for the formation of a stream to attract fish have been presented and engineering solutions have been shown. The author also presents the results of his experimental research.

The article is dedicated to the problems connected with biochemical and physical-chemical meat changes in the process of its pickling with the use of mechanical massing to produce delicate meat products. It is found that in the production of salty meat products a complex approach should be used, including the selection of high quality meat, way of production and the knowledge of main changes raw meat undergoes in the process of its technological processing. In the case of an adequate technological processing a final product will have a homogeneous structure (without interstices in the place of a cross-section) and minimal losses in thermal processing.

The paper totally assesses the outgoing sewage water state and sewage in Mari El. It has been found that the tested water samples do not satisfy transparency sanitary standards. Smell standars and pH value are abided by in all cases. The Paranga sewage disposal system gives chemically the most polluted water, outgoing to the Paranginka River and and having a toxic impact on Daphnia magna. The outgoing sewage water toxic impact on Daphnia magna is not found in the sewage disposal systems of Kosmodemiansk, Ronga, Lyulpany, Yoshkar-Ola (MUP Vodokanal).
